Curb Side Pickup

Sparta Library Curb Side Pickup

The Sparta Library is starting curbside service on Monday, June 22nd.  We are looking forward to starting to circulate physical items once more.  When you place an item on hold via our website or app and it is available to pick up you will be notified as usual.  You will then be contacted by us to set up a day to pick up your items.  Please be patient with us.  If you visit once you get notice that your first item is ready you may not get all of your items if you have many items on hold (the more time before coming in the more items we can pull).

Once your curbside appointment is set, come to the library and call us at 973 729-3101 and pop the trunk.  We will then check out your items, bring them out to your car, and place them in there for you.  You can have returns waiting for us to bring back into the building.  For those who are walking to the library, call and we will place your items on our front porch.

Our pickup hours will be:

Monday-Thursday 9:30 am – 7:00 pm

Friday 9:30 am – 4:00

Saturday 9:30 am – Noon.

The book drop and media drop will also be available.  Note that all returns will be placed in quarantine for a day and will not come off of your account until checked in afterword.

Please, do not bring any donations to the library at this time.  The Karen Ann Quinlan hospice building in Newton is currently taking donations.

Inter-library loan (ILL) is still unavailable state wide.  Please return ILL items at this time, but we will not be able to place requests for the foreseeable future.

We realize that we have many patrons that wish to come into our facility and use computers, browse our collections or sit and use WiFi (our WiFi does reach beyond the walls of the building). The governor’s executive notice does not allow for the public to enter the building at this time.  We are working to get the library ready for public access and will announce when the doors will open.
