March 19th is New Jersey’s Maker’s Day.  Please come to the  Sparta Library to celebrate this day by attending programs designed to promote Making in the library.

Schedule of events include:

9:30 – 11:15  Marble Run- Use different materials to make a path for your marble to follow.  (Registration required)

12:00 – 2:00 Creation Station – Drop in the Children’s Room to make a craft. Open to children age 4 and up. Registration is not required.

12:00 – 12:45 BYOD ThingMaker Design – Bring your own IOS or Android device and learn how to use the Thingmaker Design app.  This app allows you to make objects quickly of your own making that can be printed out on our 3D printer (after having taken the 3D printer class).  This is a great way to move beyond Thingiverse without having to create something from scratch.  This program is for ages 8+. (Registration required)

1:00 – 1:45 Bookmark with a Light – Color your book mark and add a light.  A fun craft for children 6+.  Under 8 requires that a parent stays with their child.  Kits provided by Soldering Sunday. (Registration required)

2:00 – 2:45 Light up! – Learn basic circuitry in a small group setting.  Utilizing Lightup mini kits show how a circuit works in an easy to use, safe craft. (Registration required)
