LOTE4Kids – Now available!
LOTE4Kids is an online digital resource of children’s audio-picture books, created to support English and bilingual language learning through storytelling. The platform offers over 8,000+ titles in more than 100+ world languages, from widely spoken languages like Spanish, Mandarin, and Hindi to highly sought-after options such as Ukrainian, Tagalog, and American Sign Language (ASL). Each book is read aloud by native speakers (not AI), and features English translations, leveled texts, multiple reading formats, and built-in comprehension quizzes.

Koha and the MAIN Library Alliance
What are Koha and the MAIN Library Alliance?
Koha is an Integrated Library System (ILS) software that uses a database to keep track of all of our patrons and items that the library checks out.
The MAIN Library Alliance is a consortium that serves over 50 libraries, spanning 6 counties, serving over 700,000 patrons, with over 3 million items. MAIN uses Koha to circulate and keep track of all of those items and patrons.
Sparta Library will soon be a part of MAIN using Koha. Our go live date is January 14th!
Youth Services Programs: Weather Related Closures or Delays
Weather related school delay: If local schools are operating on delayed opening, any children/teen library programming scheduled before 12 pm will be cancelled for that day.

Reserve a Quiet Room
The Sparta Library has two quiet rooms that are available for the public to use. You may reserve the room for up to four hours per day, and up to a maximum of two times per week.
